I got to know Jonas through Instagram about three years ago, but until this day we had never actually met in real life. We had talked about meeting for a long time though, so we just needed an occasion. Jonas wrote to me, that he was going to the woods near Copenhagen (Hareskoven) with Martin, another Danish instagrammer, and asked if I wanted to tag along. And of course I did :-)
I love meeting good people, I visit the woods to rarely and it seemed like their home court. Also, Martin brought wienerbrød (Danish pastry) and Jonas made sure we didn't run out of coffee, so that made the choice even easier. Great company, huh? ;-) All in all a really nice trip and good to get out of the city for a while and get some fresh air and inspiration.
On a different note, I received an e-mail with great news today, which I can't wait to share with you. I find it hard to grasp just how much Instagram and all you dear people has meant to me and the direction of my life. People often ask me where I see myself in one year, two years, five years, etc. And my answer is always the same: I have absolutely no idea. If you asked me one year ago, if I would be where I am today, I would have laughed and said NO. But then again, here I am :-)
So, I decided long ago to go with the flow, try to set some direction for my ship on the go and make sure to enjoy the ride.
It makes me think about just how life changing the last few months have been for me. I know it sounds cliché like, but they really have. Starting my own company and focusing more on my family and myself is by far one of the greatest and best decisions I have ever made. And the fact that it is paying off is just amazing. Again, I have no idea if I am doing the same one year from now, or what's going to happen. But it feels SO right at the moment, like I've finally found my place in this mess we call life.
Here's to never stop exploring, taking chances and getting most out of life!
